Electric Barn Dance Music
The Old Pequliar Band are not the quietest of bands. The musical line-up of drum kit, electric bass guitar, electric guitar, amplified melodeons, amplified concertina and electric violin demands a substantial volume to maintain a good and solid sound balance.
Having said this, the band is usually much quieter than the average DJ and disco set-up and quieter than most 'pop' or pub-rock bands. Never sit right below the speakers and complain that the music's too loud and you want to talk- because at the same time someone at the back is asking for the volume to be turned up!
What this music does is mix people of all ages making the Band an ideal wedding or party option. Disco's can exclude many people - a Barn Dance is suitable for all ages and abilities and the Band comes complete with an experienced caller to lead you through every move. When you book the Old Pequliar Band you do not need any other supplementary entertainment. After over 30 years the Band can cope with anything!
